Board clears uncashed checks and approves auditor and treasurer reports

The board approved Resolution 312026 to clear checks that were issued but never cashed by deleting the outstanding entries and returning the funds to the county account. Chair described the checks as issued to people who never cashed them, some dating back to March and April; a committee member confirmed many of the checks listed were from 2025 and were old.
"These are checks that have been issued or have never been cashed. So they're just gonna delete them and put them back in the account," the Chair said. A committee member moved to approve the resolution and the board approved it by voice vote.
Supervisors also approved the auditor's cash-draw report for fiscal year 25–26 Q4, the treasurer's June 2026 investment report, and the treasurer's semiannual report (Jan. 26–Jun. 26) by voice votes. The transcript does not include roll-call tallies or dollar amounts for the uncashed checks or the financial reports.
