Board awards bid for law center boiler replacement to Winger

Staff reported that two boilers in the law center mechanical room are failing and recommended preventive replacement before a complete failure. Staff said one vendor (Triple A of Des Moines) did not respond and recommended awarding the work to Winger.
"There's, 2 boilers down in the Mechanical room there at the law center that, assist with the heating and, cooling of the the building... when we had it serviced and looked at, they advised us that it's just a matter of time that those could break and then come off," the staff member said. A committee member moved to approve the Winger bid, seconded by another member, and the board approved the bid by voice vote.
