The board set a public hearing for August 25 at 09:30 to consider vacating and apportioning a section of 14th Street (Lehi C Road) in Washington Township after an adjacent property owner requested closure. Agency official said the original road establishment dated to the mid-1800s and that the county had to do field work and coordinate with adjacent property owners to prepare documents for the hearing.
"This is regarding a section of, Lehi C Road that the adjacent property owner the primary adjacent property owner has requested to be closed," the agency official said. The official said the closure is also intended to facilitate a tradeback of land associated with a cemetery.
The board approved setting the public hearing and selected 09:30 on August 25 as the hearing time; staff said they need time to send official notices. The action was approved by voice vote; no roll-call tally is recorded in the transcript.
