Board approves several professional services amendments for design and inspection work

The Board of Public Works approved a slate of professional services amendments on June 24 that extend term dates, add scope or provide inspection funding for ongoing projects. Chief Engineer Mark Saint John presented Amendments to ENG‑20‑017 (Butler, Fairman & Seufert) and ENG‑21‑001 (WSP USA); the Butler amendment extends the agreement to Dec. 31, 2028 while WSP’s amendment (agreement amount $1,820,000) extends to Dec. 31, 2027 and supports work including a federal SAFER‑streets funding application.
DPW staff also presented amendments adding inspection scope for the Pleasant Run Greenway (Etica Group, $294,072.50 increase, new total $575,472.16), Union Station Bridge rehabilitation (Bollinger Lock & Associates, $382,102.33 increase, new total $2,433,040.03) and White River Innovation District infrastructure (Butler, Fairman & Seufert, $912,930.30 increase, new total $4,241,037.05). The board approved each amendment after brief staff explanations and procedural motions.
