Jeff Sherr, president of the Norwalk Tree Alliance, updated the commission that the Alliance placed about 50 trees in the ground this spring and plans to plant another 50-plus in the fall across Norwalk. He said the Alliance can help nominate and celebrate legacy trees and promote recognition but may not have the capacity to administer a private-property registry.
Members thanked the Alliance for past planting work and encouraged continued partnership for outreach and volunteer support during fall plantings.
