Commission narrows legacy-tree registry to public properties, prepares nomination form

Sarah noted the existing ordinance and program language pertain to public trees and recommended launching the registry for public-property trees only, while allowing future collaboration with the Tree Alliance for private-property recognition. Commissioners suggested adding contact fields (phone/email), a photograph field and clear guidance that listing does not create enforcement rights or regulatory authority over private land. The commission asked staff to add the city hall mailing address and to publish links and the QR code for the web form.
