The subcommittee discussed Objective 1C, which calls for developing CSEC mentor advocates and securing stable funding for those roles. "Objective 1 c, is to develop CSEC mentor advocates, CMAs, to support CSEC, including acquiring secure funding," the Chair said in outlining the goal. Members recalled prior discussion that CMA funding and implementation responsibilities belong with the larger coalition rather than this subcommittee.
Jamiese confirmed the previous decision: "Joe is actually right. We did remove that and said that we wanted to push that to the larger coalition," she said, and the subcommittee recorded that Objective 1C will be handled by the larger coalition and that this subcommittee will skip tasks associated with it. Members noted Paula's absence (jury duty) as a reason to coordinate later with her on tribal and regional connections for CMA work.
