Grantees report CJA-funded forensic interview training, survivor camp and new CAC space

Cheryl Cooley, executive director of the Southern Nevada Children's Advocacy Center, told the task force the CJA grant funded forensic interview training and thanked the task force for the support. "Thank you so much for giving us money to fund our forensic interview training sessions," Cooley said, adding the center hosted a session in February and will host another in about two weeks.
Cooley also said the center is planning a move into a new facility with a projected move-in in 2027 and described the third annual survivor's camp that served 24 campers ages 10 to 14. Jamie Lowe, a child and family advocate for Nevada Outreach Training Organization, said the CJA grant allowed 13 members of a rural multidisciplinary team to attend the conference in San Diego, strengthening trauma-informed practices and multidisciplinary coordination. The task force clarified that the training activities reported were supported with CJA funds and thanked grantees for the updates.
