The Nevada Interagency Advisory Council on Homelessness to Housing Technical Assistance Committee agreed July 21 to develop a presence at the statewide Nevada Homeless Alliance conference on Oct. 1–2 at Las Vegas City Hall. Chairwoman Michelle Fuller Hellauer opened the discussion after a request from the alliance; Dr. Katrina said the conference theme will be “Flipping the Script.”
Members weighed doing a formal presentation, setting up an informational table, or both. Brooke Page argued the committee should use the opportunity “to provide updates to a statewide audience,” and suggested pairing a brief presentation with a tabling effort that includes a one‑pager and a QR code linking to more information. The chair announced initial volunteers for a conference planning subcommittee and said she would solicit additional volunteers by email from members who were not present.
Committee members asked staff to prepare materials and discussed collecting feedback at the conference through a short survey or app poll. The group agreed that next steps include drafting the one‑pager, coordinating survey questions across work groups, and returning recommendations to the technical assistance committee at the next meeting.
