Board OKs Depew Volunteer Fire Department's first annual movie night at Northside Fire Station

The Village of Depew board authorized the Depew Volunteer Fire Department to use the Northside Fire Station at 112 Brewster Street for its first annual public movie night on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m. The resolution granting permission was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote.
Fire Chief (speaker 5) described plans: “We’re showing the movie Goat… we’re providing free popcorn and lemonade and then Big Papa’s Creamery will be there with ice cream.” He said the event is rain-or-shine and noted the department will move indoors if necessary. The board also approved related mutual-aid drill participation and the temporary reassignment of fire squads to attend a wake and funeral for a regional firefighter later that week.
