Amity Latham presented the regional child-death review team data for the quarter, giving county breakdowns and statewide totals.
"Clark reviewed 25 naturals, 17 accidents, 1 homicide, 2 suicides, 4 undetermined for a total of 49 deaths," Latham said when summarizing county reports. She also said Washoe reviewed 1 natural, 1 suicide and 1 undetermined (3), and noted several rural regions reviewed few or no deaths in the quarter. Statewide totals for the quarter were 27 natural deaths, 19 accidents, 2 homicides, 3 suicides and 5 undetermined, for a total of 54 deaths.
Latham told members some regional corrections were pending (Pahrump) and that additional detail might be presented under a later agenda item. The committee will continue to track quarterly totals and corrections as local review teams submit finalized reports.
