Consultants warn interchange solutions will be costly; PAC asked to narrow choices and return sketches

At the meeting’s close, the consultant reiterated that all feasible interchange concepts would be expensive and require intergovernmental funding and developer participation. He estimated concept packages will be "well north of 20 to 30 million" and said the next step is to identify one or two viable concepts to develop into more detailed sketches and cost estimates.
"None of these concepts are cheap. There isn't one that's $1,000,000 versus $50,000,000," Hugart said, adding that implementation will require phasing, a funding strategy and cooperation between Boardman, ODOT and likely private developers. He tasked PAC members with returning sketches and prioritized refinements informed by the TAC discussion later the same day; city staff said materials and recorded videos will be posted to the project page for public review.
