The Crooks City Council held a public hearing on an ordinance amending Chapter 20 of the city’s zoning code to include definitions for modular homes and voted to approve the ordinance during the Sept. 9 meeting.
A council member observed that the proposal "already went through p and b" (planning and zoning) and that the board had approved it. After limited discussion and an opportunity for public comment, the council moved and seconded approval; the motion carried by voice vote.
The ordinance was described as a technical update to zoning definitions rather than a rezoning of particular parcels. The council opened the public hearing for comment, took no substantive amendments during the meeting, and moved the ordinance forward consistent with planning & zoning’s recommendation.
