Council weighs whether to repair a failing sewer segment on North 1st Avenue or wait for 2027 replacement

Jake recommended against spending a large amount now because the line is scheduled for replacement in about three years; he suggested a targeted set of spot repairs and obtaining a revised, higher-definition quote and additional camera inspection to better inform a decision. "It probably not worthwhile to invest that amount of money into it," Jake said, noting the segment is a 6-inch sewer that does not meet current standards and that relining may be appropriate in other areas but not here. Council asked staff to seek a revised quote and bring the item back to the next meeting.
