Superintendent reports enrollment rise, drills and staffing needs

Superintendent Jerrad Jeske reported Nov. 25 that district enrollment stands at 569 students, five more than at the same time last year. He told the board conferences had finished for the week and thanked staff and community partners for recent events.
Jeske described a mock CPR drill overseen by Providence and thanked Nurse Ali for coordinating the exercise. He also reported that All Wall patched a new leak beneath a basket and that additional inspection is planned for spring. Electrical repairs around district buildings were completed with help from Steve Martensen’s coordination; Jeske said facilities staff and Connie are preparing for winter, including clearing gutters and ordering ice melt. He noted the new snowplow is ready for use.
On staffing, Jeske said the district is “constantly looking for subs; Paras, Custodial, and Bus drivers,” and that new recruitment fliers have been distributed to the community.
