The director suggested the planning commission consider a joint session with county council before holding an internal retreat so the commission’s work plan can be aligned with council priorities. He also announced that Commissioner Jeffries had resigned, welcomed newly appointed Commissioner Pete VanStee, and said staff would advertise the current vacancy.
Commissioners expressed support for expedited joint meetings with council and discussed the commission’s ability to propose code changes; the director said code text amendments are an available path and that staff can prepare a report if the commission wishes to pursue changes to membership composition.
