The Liberty School District reported a successful K–8 Sport-a-thon fundraiser in October that generated $25,573, surpassing last year’s total by $870.
Alex Saywers credited organizers Erica Bechta and Darci Smith for coordinating the event and thanked Mrs. Cressey for allowing the library to host reward parties for students. Saywers also recapped other October activities—an 8th-grade “Unlock Your Future” event with more than 50 employers present, a Fall Family Maple Bar Day serving over 750 maple bars, and a Fire District 3 safety presentation for TK–5 students.
Parent-teacher conferences and the Scholastic Book Fair are scheduled for Nov. 20, 21 and 24, according to the minutes.
