Housing authority reports $1.48 million in savings, lower delinquencies than last year

At the Feb. 24 board meeting, Secretary Kaitlin Leary presented the Authority's January financial statements, reporting total savings and investments of $1,476,076.54. She said the PHA checking account balance at First Montana was $30,609.32, the Money Market balance was $200,000.00, and the ICS sweep account held $1,245,467.22.
Leary told the board that delinquent accounts for the Authority totaled $1,919.95 for the reporting period, down from $7,441.23 at the same time last year. For the Pintlar Apartments, the general fund balance was $161,246.83 (which includes a siding and windows loan); combined Pintlar savings and checking totaled $180,731.16 and delinquent accounts were $661.29, up from $30.00 the prior year.
Commissioners were provided the statements in advance for review; no motion was required on the financial report itself during the meeting.
