Consultants from Sloan Consulting Group and CIVIS Works presented an interim feasibility update, reporting that test pits "have confirmed the site is geologically adequate for burial," and describing open, gently rolling terrain with mountain views suitable for a memorial landscape.
They recommended a phased approach: Phase 1 sized to cover about five to seven years of projected demand, flexible inventory grids (full‑body burial 9x3; in‑ground cremation 3x3.5) and a low‑capital opening approach that can expand. Designers proposed a looped roadway so casketed spaces remain within about 150 feet of the road, preservation of a drainage corridor as open space, integration of existing trails, and use of buffers and landscape screening where needed.
Consultants also flagged two site constraints for further study: a drainage corridor running through the property and an existing well facility on the eastern edge that may affect setbacks. They estimated total initial inventory in their conceptual design and noted that a 200‑foot offset from Olympic Parkway could reduce full‑body burial capacity by roughly 800 spaces, shifting inventory planning.
