The staff estimate discussed during the session suggested a relatively low cost (on the order of $500,000) for the secure impound project compared with larger capital items in the package.
Councilors pressed whether the facility would be adequate for the next 20 years; staff replied the site is intended for short‑term secure holding and processing, not long‑term storage, and said the facility could accommodate stacked vehicles and temporary needs.
