Secretary Kaitlin Leary told the board one‑on‑one tenant meetings to sign new leases are underway and that interior demolition at Mount Haggin Homes began last week.
Leary said staff will begin temporary tenant relocations in June and are planning to work on vacant units at Mount Haggin and Cedar Park concurrently. She cautioned that staff currently lack access to the new software required for the conversion and that Good Housing Partnership (GHP) is assisting to get systems operational.
The conversion will change the program under which tenants hold leases; Leary told commissioners that all new leases will be effective May 1, 2026, under the PBV program and that staff must move tenants out of the Public Housing program on April 30. The board did not take a separate vote on the conversion at this meeting; the update reflected ongoing operational steps in the RAD project.
Next steps identified by staff include continuing the tenant meetings, coordinating temporary relocations beginning in June, and completing access to the necessary software before May 1 so that tenant records and leases can be transitioned to PBV administration.
