Public Works reports 2025 Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report filed with EPA; repairs and storm cleanup completed

Public Works Superintendent Jessica Ramirez reported that the 2025 Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report has been submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency and that the report showed positive results, with the public able to review the report on the Village website. Ramirez also described recent storm-response work: removal and trimming of trees, chipping and removal of fallen branches, and replacement of a damaged decorative streetlight pole at 38th and Lemoyne Avenue after a commercial truck struck it.
The department also repaired a fuel pump that had dispenser and counter issues; the unit was tested and is operating properly. Ramirez told trustees a replacement tree will be planted at 1729 N. 43rd Avenue in the fall during appropriate planting season. These operational updates were presented as part of the Department Reports section of the meeting.
