Highway Foreman Mike Spackman reported the town's new 10‑wheel dump truck—with a gray color scheme to match the one‑ton truck—is ready for service. He said the first round of spring grading is complete and that spot grading, culvert replacements and roadside tree cleanup will follow. The Better Roads grant project to improve stormwater management on Silver Hill Road is scheduled to begin in May.
Spackman said he would meet with Otis Ellms‑Munroe of the Mount Ascutney Regional Commission to discuss the town's Municipal Roads General Permit (MRGP) needs. He also noted a current period of elevated fire danger: Spackman, as Fire Warden, and Fire Chief Erik Boedtker will monitor conditions; the minutes show no burn ban is planned but that burn permits are unlikely except on rainy days.
