Selectboard reviews highway report, paving bids and FY27 Annual Financial Plan
Summary

Highway Foreman Mike Spackman updated the Selectboard on road grading focused on softer sections, completion of roadside tree-cutting for a temporary roadway related to a potential culvert replacement on John Meyers Road, the new 10-wheeler going to the body shop, and continuing power issues with the one-ton truck. He also outlined an upcoming Better Roads stormwater management project on Silver Hill Road slated to begin in May.
The board received bids from Blaktop and Waters Excavating for two paving sections on Brownsville-Hartland Road but noted that any paving will be contingent on receiving additional State grant funds. Separately, the Selectboard authorized signing and submitting West Windsor’s FY27 Annual Financial Plan to certify the town meets VTrans maintenance spending thresholds and remain eligible for state road funding.
