Selectboard approves Ascutney Mountain Music Series and DLL permits for three summer dates

The Selectboard approved Brownsville Butcher & Pantry’s Ascutney Mountain Music Series at Ascutney Outdoors for May 30, June 20 and August 1, with rain dates one day prior, and separately approved the restaurants’ DLL permit requests for the same dates. Peter Varkonyi presented the application and thanked Ascutney Outdoors for adding electrical service to the Polo Field, which he said will increase safety and allow vendors to avoid long extension cords or generators.
Musical acts announced included Erik Boedtker (May), Jeremiah Allen of Red River North (June), and Bruce Sklar and the Sklarkestra (August). The board approved the event applications and DLL permits unanimously after discussion of police and emergency-services signoffs and vendor arrangements.
