Selectboard backs lower‑cost option for John Meyers Road culvert in FY27 Structures Grant application

Given a 10% local match requirement and similar expected performance, the Selectboard expressed a preference for the lower‑cost aluminized steel pipe arch and authorized Town Administrator Matt Frederick to submit the FY27 Structures Grant application using the $215,500 project estimate. Staff also noted inconsistent historical spellings of the road name (John Meyers Road vs. John Myers Road) and will ensure future paperwork uses the correct "John Meyers Road" spelling.
The motion to submit the application with the $215,500 estimate was moved by John Brodie, seconded by Mark Harley, and approved unanimously.
