Tim DePerio, superintendent of public works, told the Select Board the town solicited bids through statewide and regional procurement pools and received multiple quotes before recommending a local supplier. “Our recommendation is to award the 2026, 2027 roadside bid to Granite State Minerals Inc, who provided the low bid of $77.77 per ton,” DePerio said.
Board members moved and seconded the recommendation without extended discussion; the roll call produced five yes votes and the motion carried 5–0. The superintendent said the $77.77/ton price is roughly $2.77/ton higher than last year’s $75 per ton and is the best of the quotes the town solicited, including a comparison to MDOT and SMPDC bids.
