The Little Falls board approved multiple routine and personnel-related items. The activities handbook was approved by voice vote after presentation by the activities director and confirmation that legal counsel reviewed the document. The district employee handbook was also approved and will be included in staff orientation materials.
The board approved classified and non-certified substitute pay rates for the 2026–27 school year; the superintendent said the numbers increased slightly from last year and will be adjusted as contracts settle. The board approved a memorandum of understanding with the MESA School Employees Association to classify behavior paraprofessionals at the special-education pay rate, reflecting the additional responsibilities and data collection those positions require. "We're asking that those behavior paras... be paid at the special ed rate of pay," the superintendent said in explanation.
Board members also approved membership in the Minnesota Rural Education Association for 2026–27 and approved the Woodstep IAQ contract so that Witset can begin related work; the Contegrity contract for IAQ work will be considered at a subsequent meeting. All of these items passed by voice vote during new business.
