The Jones County Commissioners Court on July 13 approved an engagement letter with James E. Rodgers & Company for the 2026 audit in the amount of $38,700. Commissioner Joel Spraberry moved for the engagement; Commissioner Roy Spalding seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The court referenced Exhibit J for the engagement letter.
In the same session commissioners approved the treasurer's report, authorized line-item transfers and budget amendments, and moved to pay county bills as presented. Commissioner Lonnie Vivian moved to approve the treasurer's report and later moved to amend the budget and approve line-item transfers; Commissioner Roy Spalding seconded both motions and all commissioners voted aye. Payment of bills was approved by unanimous vote. The minutes reference Exhibit N for budget adjustments.
