On July 13 the Jones County Commissioners Court approved SB 22 compliance reports for the Sheriff's Department, the 259th District Attorney and the County Attorney for the 2023 grant year. Commissioner Joel Spraberry moved the approval; Commissioner Roy Spalding seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The court also approved a budget amendment transferring $141,652.48 from the County Attorney SB 22 fund balance into the 2026 County Attorney SB 22 funds to reimburse the comptroller for unspent funds in 2024. Commissioner Roy Spalding moved the amendment; Commissioner Joel Spraberry seconded and all commissioners voted aye. The minutes reference Exhibit F and Exhibit G for documentation.
