Following the applicant presentation and commissioner questions, the chair confirmed commissioners wanted staff to continue working with the applicant to clarify the draft LCCZ language and to bring refined materials back to the commission. "What I'll do is I'll set up a meeting with the applicant," the chair said, and staff agreed to draft a plan for follow-up meetings and additional public hearings in accessible locations within the project area.
Commissioners recommended staff seek more precise answers on the 1-mile radius mapping, minimum-application acreage, phasing and numerical density/open-space and affordability targets. Staff and the applicant said technical reports on water, sewer and traffic would be provided in follow-up sessions and that multiple public hearings were feasible to ensure broad community input before any recommendation to county council.
