Kevin, a member of the LCB rules team, briefed the board on rulemaking timelines and near‑term public engagement. He said seasonal hours for beer and wine restaurants took effect Oct. 23 and acceptable ID rule updates take effect Nov. 8, leaving the rules team with approximately 12 active rulemaking projects. "We'll be holding stakeholder feedback sessions for cannabis retail management agreements responding to ESSB 5403," he said, noting divergent views among stakeholders on the draft posted Oct. 20.
Kevin also briefed the board on a public dashboard the rules team has been developing. "This one is going to be for all LCB rulemaking projects," he said, describing an interactive interface where users can click a rule project and see whether it is at CR101, CR102 or CR103 stage and find links to public hearings and staff contacts. He said user testing starts this week and the team hopes to publish the dashboard by year end if no major revisions are required.
