MCPS completes SOP for Chromebook inventory and updates ServiceNow processes

Kimberly Fields said MCPS is finishing a Chromebook report and has created a standard operating procedure to reconcile device inventories and update records in ServiceNow.
"We did create a standard operating procedure, which is being shared with our technology support specialist, to be able to better reconcile our inventory and how we manage inventory, as well as updating our ServiceNow system," Fields said. She said the district is coordinating with finance on inventory losses and discrepancies and will update regulations tied to inventory controls.
Staff said the SOP and updated processes aim to standardize inventory protocols across schools and to improve tracking for refresh and procurement planning.
