Scott told the board he has contacted consulting resources about policy review and recommended a small committee (superintendent, business manager and two board members) to review district policies incrementally, noting the approach other districts used to keep the process manageable. He said he had reached out to Sage Consulting and was awaiting information from Derek at PASC; the board also agreed to consider ASBSD as an option.
On summer programming, Scott said the district has approximately $12,000 in state REIT money that must be spent before the end of June and proposed running a short summer school (late June into early July) with a funding split that leverages available state REIT funds and federal money for the remaining cost. Dates and staffing are subject to teacher availability and additional planning.
