Terry Stalkin, a resident who spoke during public comment, thanked district leaders for recent community listening sessions and urged the board to pursue a multi-use facility designed to serve more students and community groups.
"Number 1 is we have to build a facility that benefits the most students," Terry said. He described three priorities that, if met — student benefit, majority community support and fiscal responsibility — would lead to a successful project.
Terry said the listening sessions changed his view of potential sites and designs and highlighted that multi-use planning could attract broader support. He encouraged trustees to keep refining design options and to prioritize uses that bring value to students and other groups in town.
