Former principal and other supporters urge a clear plan — but want a vote

Bob Maguire, who said he tried to gather more survey responses, said he was not opposed to the complex but criticized the board’s outreach and recommended additional community surveys and in-person feedback sessions. Supporters asked the board to present cost scenarios and site comparisons so voters can make an informed decision if a referendum were considered.
Next steps: supporters and opponents both asked for more transparency and for staff to present clearer, written planning documents; the board scheduled CMAR interviews Jan. 26 and said hiring decisions would follow.
