Committee members asked about distinctions between prostitution and human trafficking, coordination with the fusion center, whether trafficking has increased with illegal immigrant population trends, resource availability, and advantages of multi-jurisdictional coordination.
Vice Chairman Alfieri requested a roll call; the motion carried 15 AYE, 0 NAY, 1 Absent/Excused. Voting in favor were Reps. Skaug, Alfieri, Scott, Ehardt, Erickson, Garner, Handy, Hawkins, Hill, Hostetler, Pohanka, Shirts, Hall, Gannon and Mathias. Rep. Rubel was absent/excused. Rep. Skaug will sponsor H 518 on the House floor.
