The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of Z-7841, rezoning a property west of the southwest corner of East 19th Street South and South 85th East Avenue from RS-2 (single-family) to RM-2 (multifamily). Staff said the proposed RM-2 zoning would permit additional housing types such as townhomes and apartments while maintaining a 35-foot maximum building height consistent with nearby RS zones.
Applicant John Manuele indicated agreement with the staff recommendation; there were no public speakers. The commission voted 10-0-0 to recommend RM-2 zoning, with Craddock moving the recommendation and Hood seconding. The staff report noted that, if approved, subdivision and development regulations must be satisfied before building permits are issued.
