Engineer says crushed limestone, levee assessment underway after Dakota Dunes flood review

Jeff Dooley of Civil Engineers and Constructors provided the board with an update on local flood-control measures during the public-comment portion of the Dakota Dunes Community Improvement District meeting on Sept. 16.
Dooley said crushed limestone will be brought in to repair the point trail and that the plan is to have that area repaired by the end of the year. He also reported that levees are being assessed and that design work is in progress; the firm is awaiting a response from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The update was heard without a formal vote.
