TMAPC elects 2026 officers; approves minutes and continues several county items

The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission approved the minutes from Meeting 2951 (Dec. 17, 2025) by a 10-0-1 vote with Bulmash abstaining. Chair Joshua Walker called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m., and Director Susan Miller reported that a TMAPC work session will be needed in March 2026.
The Commission then moved to waive TMAPC policies and elect officers for 2026: Joshua Walker, Chairman; Luisa Krug, 1st Vice Chair; Shane Hood, 2nd Vice Chair; and John Shivel, Secretary. The election motion passed unanimously (11-0-0). Several county items were continued to Feb. 4, 2026 by unanimous votes, including CZ-577 (Belinda A. Bentley) and the 126th Business Park preliminary plat. MPD-6 was continued as well (10-0-1). The meeting adjourned at 2:33 p.m.
These procedural outcomes set the calendar for follow-up hearings and ensure staff has direction on scheduling and work-session priorities.
