Summary

A dispute over a stove loaned to the Lyman Historical Committee was discussed during New Business. Bud Meyers told the council he had received communications from Candy Cathcart claiming an anonymous observer saw the stove moved in the rain and that the barrel was not dismantled. Mayor Eddie Hills, Alexis and Tammy Buchanan said the stove was moved on May 17, 2026, and that the barrel had been separated for moving.
The clerk located a signed Exhibit Loan Agreement with language requiring return of the stove when display ends and read the clause aloud: “in the event that either party wishes to end the display of the stove the stove is to be returned to Candy Cathcart at no expense to the City of Lyman or the Lyman Historical Committee.” Council member Jeremy Mast, Mack Cameron (history committee member) and the clerk volunteered to help return the stove; the clerk was asked to email Cathcart a copy of the loan agreement and to schedule delivery on June 12, 2026.
