Council adopts Ordinance No. 1463 to enter supplemental lease for La Cygne pool property

The La Cygne City Council voted 3–0 on Jan. 21, 2020 to adopt Ordinance No. 1463, authorizing entry into Supplemental Lease No. 1 dated Feb. 6, 2020 between the City and the City of La Cygne Public Building Commission. Council Member Thomas Capp moved for approval; Council Member Keith Stoker seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
City Clerk Jodi Wade explained the supplemental lease supplements the original lease dated Nov. 1, 2009 and would continue the city’s lease of the swimming pool property from the Public Building Commission until the related bonds are paid in full. The minutes record the ordinance approval authorized execution of the supplemental lease and related documents.
The supplemental lease was considered on the same special‑meeting agenda that authorized the bond refunding for the pool; the minutes link the leasing arrangement to the financing, indicating the lease term will remain aligned with bond repayment. After adopting Ordinance No. 1463 the council moved to adjourn; the meeting ended at 6:15 p.m. and City Clerk Jodi Wade certified the minutes as accurate.
