City Attorney Burton Harding briefed the council on adopting updated enforcement references and the council voted to accept the 2019 Uniform Public Offense Code (35th edition) and the 2019 Standard Traffic Ordinance (47th edition) for use in city court proceedings. The adoptions passed on 3-0 votes.
Council also approved travel for Court Clerk (City Treasurer) Connie Gore to attend the Kansas Municipal Courts Conference in Wichita on March 6; the city will cover one night of hotel and travel expenses. The council approved an auditing-services contract with Diehl, Banwart & Bolton for the 2019 audit pending legal approval from City Attorney Harding, noting the fee decreased because Water Improvement Project funds for the 2019 period were lower. Finally, the council authorized letters of authorization to remove Robert Sullivan from city bank accounts and add Debra Wilson as a signatory; the motion passed 3-0.
