At the May 12 meeting the Town of Lyman council approved a long plat application to subdivide 31434 Prevedell Road into 15 residential lots aimed at affordable housing. The parcel was previously approved for 28 multifamily units; the applicant, Jason Ragsdale, requested a variance to reduce the minimum lot width from 60 feet to 40 feet.
Town building inspector Tony Niskanen introduced Ragsdale to the council. Tammy Buchanan moved to approve the long plat and the 40-foot lot width variance; Mike Couch seconded and the motion carried with all in favor. The approval authorizes the subdivision as presented; any subsequent permitting or construction will follow town land‑use and building permit processes.
