La Cygne approves $1,525 repair after water‑plant and odorizer problems

USDI repaired a valve on the gas odorizer at a cost of $1,525 after several residents reported noticing a gas smell; the council approved the $1,525 expenditure on a 5–0 motion by Council Member Jerome Mitzner, seconded by Council Member Keith Stoker. City Clerk Jodi Wade said she had submitted pay‑application totals to Mike Billings for BG Consultants, Shelley Electric, Maguire Iron, Orr‑Wyatt Streetscapes and USDA drawdowns and was awaiting a response.
