Council to consider contract for ADA restroom renovations at Bennett Library

City engineer Dave Lehi said the low bidder for the additional work was CNS Construction Management at $304,123; adding DLZ Incorporated’s construction management fee of $29,500 brings the total to $333,623. Lehi said the project aims for minimal disturbance to library operations and a completion target before Thanksgiving if schedules hold.
Councilmembers discussed whether to include adult or infant changing tables; the family restroom will include an adult changing table and council asked staff to check whether a baby changing table can be added. Miss Budzinski recommended placing the item on the regular agenda so staff can clarify drawings and final details with the architect.
The item was scheduled for the Aug. 17 regular agenda for a final contract award and for staff to provide clarifications about changing‑table locations and timeline.
