Staff said they would pursue nonprofit grant support through the equipment vendor and look for community assistance for drainage and earthwork to reduce costs.
Board members also reviewed quotes for upgraded exterior doors and mirrored glass finishes to reduce glare and improve appearance; laminated glass and upgraded door assemblies were recommended for safety and durability. Procurement options such as Sourcewell were discussed as a way to streamline bidding and still allow the district to prioritize local vendors.
