Casey Mathieu asked whether childcare would be arranged; Pat Haller confirmed and said he "has already volunteered his teenage children and wife" to help. The board tasked Callie Hamdy and Tommy O'Connor with communications and improving online audio for remote viewers. Separately, the board confirmed Vermont's new childcare tax credit for employees is being applied in payroll systems and that the Selectboard will record it as a separate column in budget documents going forward.
The childcare arrangement is intended to mirror last year's service and to lower barriers to participation at Town Meeting; the board also discussed reading the town's recently passed inclusion resolution and suggested the local Girl Scouts might do the reading.
