Residents press Board on sewer connection delays and local law enforcement options

During the Privilege of the Floor, Kathy Wilcox of Nolan Road told the Board she opposes establishing a Town police force and recommended that the Supervisor contact Sheriff Brown to address speeding and park vandalism, saying the Town already pays for law enforcement and should seek better service. The remarks were followed by Lynne McCarthy Lapham of Pearce Lane, who described a two-year struggle to connect to sewer, saying she currently has a holding tank (not a septic) and cannot obtain a certificate of occupancy until ownership and mapping questions are resolved. Lapham said she has provided materials to the Town and asked for urgent action, warning she will pursue other remedies if the Board does not resolve the matter.
Supervisor John Antoski announced the Board would enter executive session to discuss litigation (no expected action on return). The Board later returned and adjourned the meeting.
