The Town Board adopted Resolution 26-156 on July 14, authorizing a transfer of $80,000 from A Fund unrestricted balance to the Highway Fund to pay for recent trail and playground upgrades at Jenkins Park; the motion passed unanimously (Ayes 5, Nays 0). The transfer includes $10,000 drawn from a Saratoga County 2024 Trails Grant award. The Board also accepted Resolution 26-157, a $3,000 donation from the Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake Rotary Club to support landscaping at Town Corner Park, and earlier approved Resolution 26-152 accepting a donated memorial bench to be placed at the Veteran’s Bike Path entrance.
Councilwoman Kelly Jasinski and Councilman Rob Fendrick described ongoing maintenance and site-preparation needs at Jenkins Park, and Jasinski reiterated that drainage work must precede playground installation. Fendrick said the Highway Department completed pond treatments and that the Parks & Rec Committee plans a fall ribbon-cutting for the new playground equipment. The Board thanked Highway Department staff and volunteers for recent stewardship work.
